1. Applications for admission must be submitted by the deadline stated on the Khalifa University website. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered for the following semester.
2. Only one application can be submitted per semester.
3. To start a new application, please go to the ‘My Application” tab and click on ‘Create Application’.
4. Select the program you wish to apply for, enter your nationality and click ‘Continue’. The relevant application form will be displayed based on this information. Please note that some programs are open to UAE Nationals only.
5. Please note that scholarships are awarded subject to availability and will be confirmed at the conclusion of the admission process. No additional application is required to be considered for a scholarship.
6. There are seven sections to be completed in the application form (Personal Details, Academic Qualifications, Scholarship and Employment Details, Housing and Transport, Referees, Attachments, Terms and Conditions).
7. Each section has mandatory fields that must be completed before the application can be submitted.
8. In the ‘Add Referee’ section, please provide a minimum of two referees. We recommend listing up to five potential referees to ensure that at least two responses are received. When the application is submitted, an automatic e-mail will be sent to each referee with access to an online reference form. Please note that Khalifa University does not accept reference letters in hard copy or via e-mail.
9. In the ‘Attachments’ section, please upload all the mandatory documents. All documents supplied as part of the application process are the property of Khalifa University and will not be returned to the candidate, regardless of the outcome of the application.
10. In the ‘Admissions Agreement’ section, please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before ticking to confirm that you agree. Applications will not considered until the Terms and Conditions are accepted.
11. If you wish to finish your application later, please click on the ‘Save’ button and log out.
12. Once your application is completed, please click on the ‘Submit’ button. Please note that you will not be able to make any changes after submission, except for uploading additional documents.
13. The Admissions Office will not accept any documents in hard copy. Documents should be scanned and uploaded with your online application, according to the following guidelines:
- Documents must be in PDF format with a maximum file size of 4MB
- Photographs must be in JPEG format with a maximum file size of 2MB
- GRE certificate is a mandatory documentin the attachments section and applicants can upload the extracted PDF report of the GRE score that gets available in the GRE online account 10 days after sitting for the exam
- PhD Applicants with GRE Quantitative score less than 155 are required to submit peer-reviewed journal publication (indexed at Web of Science/ SCOPUS). Applicant has the option to submit a list of citations or upload the journal paper(s).
- Statement of Purpose is mandatory for all applicants and required to be within 400 – 1000 words, beyond this limit may not be considered.
- Research Statement is mandatory for PhD applicants and required to be within 400 – 1000 words, beyond this limit may not be considered.
